Poipoia Ltd is a Māori-owned and operated environmental consultancy founded by Tina Porou in 2016. The organisation is dedicated to upholding the wellbeing of people, land, and water through a wide range of resource management services. These include cultural impact assessments, planning support, and advocacy for local and central government, as well as assisting organisations in integrating kaitiakitanga, or guardianship, into their practices.

Poipoia’s mission is to create spaces and opportunities where kaitiakitanga leads the way in caring for the natural environment of Aotearoa. By honouring the teachings of their ancestors, they aim to live in harmony with the environment while supporting the aspirations of Māori whānau and families. The organisation is proud to foster the growth of Māori practitioners, expanding knowledge and capacity in areas vital to environmental stewardship.
